Meet Dr. L’Heureux

Dr. L’Heureux grew up in southern California where she earned her bachelor of science degree in biological sciences from California Polytechnic State University at San Luis Obispo. After working as an epidemiologist for the Los Angeles County Health Department, she earned her doctorate of osteopathy at the Des Moines University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine in Iowa.

Following her Obstetrics & Gynecology residency at Botsford General Hospital in conjunction with Michigan State University, she relocated to the Phoenix area. She became board certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology in 2000 and is a Fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Obstetricians & Gynecologists. She cared for women in the west valley at Cigna Healthcare and in private practice.

In 2011, Dr. L’Heureux shifted her concentration to Sleep Medicine and earned her board certification in August, 2013. She is the first physician with dual certification earned in both Sleep Medicine and Obstetrics & Gynecology in the United States. Her practice is now limited to Sleep Medicine, but her experience in women’s health lends a unique perspective on female sleep issues.
